Where ἀρετή comes from:
In ancient Greek culture, aretē (ἀρετή) means excellence or reaching your full potential. It covers more than moral goodness, including skill, strength, and wisdom. Arete means being your best self, fulfilling your purpose, and achieving important results. It applies to many areas like sports, craftsmanship, and leadership. It’s about using your abilities fully and striving for excellence in all parts of life. The Greeks valued arete in heroes, athletes, and thinkers. Today, it encourages people to do their best and grow in their chosen fields.

Why we chose Areti
We chose Areti for many reasons, including my father's Greek background, which inspired the name. I picked Areti because it reflects the quality I aim for in my work, both on lawns and in life. While nothing is perfect, striving for perfection brings excellence. Whether it's carefully trimming a sidewalk edge or returning to a customer to ensure they’re completely satisfied, we always go the extra mile.
“Excellence isn’t our goal - it’s out standard.”
